Over the past few years, Barry has worked with thousands of people in hundreds of teams in dozens of organisations to unlock potential, build effectiveness and deliver truly measurable, world-class results.
Barry spent the majority of his commercial career with global drinks brand Bass in both their brewing and pub retailing divisions, including influential spells as Sales Director, Operations Director and finally Managing Director. From 2000 to 2002 Barry was given the opportunity to be part of a small team of experts who took 1000 pubs from Bass and prepared them for sale. The group was sold twice and finally went to a team of venture capitalists. This whole, unique experience proved to Barry that even in the most difficult circumstances, people who are properly led and motivated can deliver incredible results.
Over the last 7 years, Barry has developed a reputation of having true expertise in working with the Chief Executives and senior teams of organisations across all sectors over a sustained period of time to enable them to set a clear direction, build effectiveness, engage and unlock the potential of their people and get things done.
Barry joined Standing Ovation in 2009 and currently works with clients across the private, public and voluntary sectors both in the UK and Internationally. He lives in the middle of Staffordhire in a wonderful rural location, with his partner, Jakkie. He has 6 children, 3 of whom are currently at University.
